Virginia City and Nevada City are two 1800's Old West Towns in Montana. We went with our friend Carolyn and a girl she worked with but I can't remember her name. Carolyn's husband Roy wasn't feeling good so he stayed home that day.

This was two years ago so I am doing this on memory. We got to Virginia City first. It would have been nice if no cars were allowed on the streets, but some of the buildings are now antique shops. Here are some pictures of town.

Some of the buildings were antique shops as I mentioned before, but some were closed off and we could only go just inside them to the railing. Here are a couple pics inside.

Buried on Boot Hill was the road agents and a couple named William and Clara Dalton (no relation to the infamous Dalton gang) that came to the west by wagon train and died a year after settling in Virginia city.

We took a train ride over to Nevada City. For some reason I have no pictures of the train. I'm sure I took pics, but cannot find them anywhere.
This building used to be the dining hall at Canyon Lodge in Yellowstone. It was moved to Nevada City when the NPS replaced the log buildings with more modern structures.
This is an old school. It is Montana's oldest standing public school, built in 1867 in Twin Bridges, MT.
Here's some interesting pics...
